The Foundation has, among others, given support for the establishment of the Chair of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Toronto; teaching positions at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg) and York University (Toronto); funding for the Chair of Ukrainian Culture and Ethnography at the University of Alberta (Edmonton); initiation of the Ukrainian Resources and Development Centre at Grant MacEwan Community College (Edmonton).

It has also recognized the contribution of noted academics to Ukrainian scholarship through a special "Award for Contributions to Ukrainian Studies".

The Foundation administers the "Osyp and Josaphat Neporany Educational Fund", thanks to which a number of younger scholars have been encouraged to produce valuable works on various Ukrainian topics. The Fund has also supported an exchange of scholars between Canada and Ukraine. At present, the Fund is making it possible for specialists in Ukrainian Studies to do research and lecture for an academic term at institutions at which such lectures might not otherwise be offered.
